Hi, I'm Helen - Director at HMJ Consultancy, author, trainer and coach. My mission is to help people live well with dementia - especially within care homes. 

Having spent 20 years working in education and training, my world changed in 2012 when my mother was diagnosed with dementia. As I saw how she and others were affected by the disease, I felt compelled to switch my focus to Health & Social care. 

I now train care teams in the use of meaningful activity to contribute to a person’s well-being. 

I am guided by the mantra - “It’s not what you do – it’s how you make me feel”.
